i understand that the new budget will be mailed to asso. members soon-- it will be part of the adventurer publication-- it is suppose to be a more detailed version than past published budgets-- hopefully it will be transparent and detailed enough to allow members understand what the bod and management is doing with our money. i'm sure there will be areas that are unclear and hopefully members who feel obligated to do so will bring up their concerns at the next bod open meeting--members should expect and get a budget that they are satisfied with. the bod should strive to present the most transparent budget possible--- will they? -- we'll see in due time---but----don't bet the farm on it.

NEW ORLEANS HELP

IT HAS BEEN TWO YEARS SINCE HURRICANE KATRINA DESTROYED MUCH OF THE CITY OF NEW ORLEANS AND SCATTERED HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE THROUGHOUT MUCH OF THIS COUNTRY--- NOT MUCH HAS BEEN ACCOMPLISHED TO HELP THESE PEOPLE -- FIRST THEY WERE VICTIMIZED BY FATE AND THEN BY THEIR GOVERNMENT. THE UTTER FAILURE TO PROVIDE ANY MEANINGFUL HELP IN THIS RECOVERY HAS BEEN A REAL STAIN ON THIS COUNTRY.

THERE ARE MANY REBUILDING PROJECTS CURRENTLY BEING PERFORMED TO GET THIS CITY BACK ON IT'S FEET AND GET THE PEOPLE BACK IN THEIR HOMES AND CITY -- AMONG THEM HABITAT FOR HUMANITY AS WELL AS OTHER PROGRAMS BEING EXECUTED BY PRIVATE CIVIC GROUPS AND RELIGIOUS ORGANIZATIONS.

HERE IS A NEW ORGANIZATION THAT IS SET UP TO HELP REBUILD NEW ORLEANS. YOU CAN HELP WITH A LITTLE AS A $ DONATION OR AS MUCH AS YOU MIGHT WANT TO GIVE. AFTER ALL A $ DONATION HERE AND THERE COULD SOON AMOUNT TO SOMETHING BIG. THIS THEN COULD THEN BE USED TO START THE REBUILDING.

AFTER KATRINA I WONDERED WHAT I WOULD DO IF MY HOME AND HOMETOWN FELL UPON A DISASTER -- THEN I REALIZED THAT I'D HEAD TO LA. THIS WOULD BE THE PLACE THAT I COULD REGROUP AND FIGURE OUT WHAT TO DO. AT LEAST THAT'S THE PLAN. FAILING THAT I'D HEAD TO NORTH DAKOTA. NOTHING HAPPENS IN NORTH DAKOTA.

WELL AT LEAST I HAVE A POSSIBLE PLACE TO GO - THE PEOPLE OF NEW ORLEANS DO NOT AND DID NOT HAVE THAT OPPORTUNITY.

SO I'VE LISTED THIS GROUP AS A CONSIDERATION FOR YOU AND HOPE YOU TAKE THE TIME TO CHECK IT OUT.
