Chipper looks like LA employees who may i add we the owners pay their salary have come to troll on your blog. HOLIDAY HAPPENINGS

the big weekend

is here and many members will be visiting la for the long weekend and some through next week will find a lot of activities scheduled for the members--you can take advantage of this wide assortment of activities for every member of the family --- enjoy

other extra activities and events are happening in the region and less than a 2 hour drive from la -- these offer good opportunities for a day trip and to get in something extra for the family -- i have listed these events on the right column of this blog-- each is linked to the event web page by clicking on the event logo-- this will bring up the event and let you review what they have to offer you and your family

PICTURE PERFECT DAY

SUNNY AND REALLY NICE TODAY -- COMMUNITY WAS PRETTY BUSY WITH THE POOL GETTIN IT'S BIGGEST DAY SO FAR THIS SEASON--- PRACTICE FOR THE 4TH WEEKEND

--there was an accident at the game room today -- a child got it's hand caught in the ball return pocket of the pool table -- hopefully everything works out for this child--- dingman fire department responded and were working to free this child--i know that when there are kids involved just about anything can happen and usually does happen-- it is really difficult to have any environment in which something can't happen-- but hopefully the la management will look at this incident and take all appropriate steps necessary to insure that everything possible is done in the future to eliminate safety problems in the clubhouse, pool area, and other public areas that community children have assess too. This would be the process employed at any legitimate business and hopefully it will be employed here in la.

well the big court said i have a right to my weapons arsenal-- wow -- now i can get out my ak47's and clean them up-- also my semi-automatic weapons -- how about if i set up a target range behind my place here in la -- the lot is empty and would make a great practice area -- anyone what to shoot off a few rounds - let me know and we'll have a great time--- i'm available anytime over the next few weeks

PLANNING FOR THE WEEKEND

YES WE'RE ALMOST THERE -- WEATHER HAS BEEN GREAT THIS WEEK AND THE OUTLOOK FOR THE WEEKEND LOOKS LIKE A FINE FEW DAYS AT LA-- LOTS OF PEOPLE HERE ALL WEEK LONG CLEANING UP, BIKING, SWIMMING, WALKING THEMSELVES AND their DOGS (how come you never see anyone walking a cat?--- hmmm..)- SO PLAN TO COME TO LA FOR A PRE JULY 4 WEEKEND VISIT.



LONG RANGE PLANNING BUT NOT TO EARLY TO ORDER TICKETS (they really go fast) is the 2009 WOMEN'S US OPEN AT SAUCON VALLEY COUNTRY CLUB in Bethlehem-- BIG EVENT!!!!!

weekend review

BREAKFAST!

saturday was quite nice -- moderate tempature and sunny 4 the most part -- flea markets were held -- drove around and saw some interesting things --over on lake drive south saw some nice hand made bead braclets with some really nice bead colorations and a picture of elvis -- yes jus a picture not a real live elvis-- along villiage drive west saw a few places also -- many others were scattered around the community but i don't know all the road names-- not bad



today -- pool was open but only 1 person in at 1:30 -- a little cool so that kept everyone away





last saturday morning i stopped at the clubhouse to check out the parents day breakfast-- good crowd and the food looked awesome-- eggs, potatoes, meat and toast -- can't beat that with a stick-- nice job by the kitchen help



next week i think they're having french toast breakfast on sunday -- have to plan for that-- more people should take advantage of this service - can't beat the price and it's nice to sit with the kids and let mom have a day off ( it doesn't have to be mother's day )

I used him to have a deadbolt put on my place. He is not cheap but he was there the next mourning and did a great job

anon-- getting anyone up here in pike country is a real tough task --i also noticed the pricing was a little high but then i think everything and everyone up here is expensive -- i guess you have to realize that this really is a seasonal area and they have 9 months out of season so they have to make their money when they can-- comes with the territory

interesting article in today's morning call regarding hoa--- these issues are similar to la in that the board should make an accounting of the defaulting members and keep a public record of these for the members to review -- if defaulting accounts are too numerable that means the rest of the community is carrying the cost for these defaulting members - the goal would be to develop a method to collect defaulting dues or speed up the liens process to recover these lost dues-- of course a negotiated settlement is always more preferable than the liens process and would in most cases be the most expedient method for recovery

this weekend on friday and saturday is the antique truck club of america show down in macungie (outside allentown-- 90 minutes from la)-- real great display of hundreds (600 count them) of antique classic trucks-
admission is FREE-- can't beat that with a stick-- dads and kids will love this
