I WENT UP AND SAW WHAT WAS LEFT AFTER THE FIRE -- AS YOU CAN SEE NOT MUCH-- I HOPE ALL WORKS OUT WELL FOR OUR COMMUNITY MEMBER!
OBSERVATIONS:
NOTICE THAT THE AREA AROUND THE TRAILER BURNED BARE FOR ABOUT 25 TO 50 FEET FROM THE TRAILER-- ALSO THE TREES WERE SCHORCHED--ABOUT 75 FEET AWAY A PILE OF LOGS WERE BURNED -
THIS IS A SERIOUS PROBLEM WHEN THE LEAVES ARE ALLOWED TO ACCUMULATE....THIS BECOMES A FIRE HAZARD THAT THREATENS EVERYONE WHO MAY BE IN THE VICINITY OF A FIRE LIKE THIS....LA SHOULD ENCOURAGE BETTER LEAF COLLECTION AND DISPOSAL -- THEY SHOULD RESTART THE COMMUNITY WIDE VACUMNING OF LEAVES -- THEY SHOULD INSTITUTE SPRING AND FALL COMMUNITY WIDE CLEANUP EFFORTS AND HAVE A PROGRAM TO ENCOURAGE EVERYONE TO HAVE SMOKE AND FIRE DETECTORS AND FIRE EXTINGUISHERS.
HAD THIS FIRE OCCURED AT NIGHT THIS COULD HAVE BEEN MUCH MORE SEVERE AND DAMAGING.
