well i think you have some valid points -- as i see them

• the electrical service must be able to handle the increased demands that are inherent to today's electrical devices-- the advent of so much more electrical devices that has come on line is far greater than 30 or 40yrs. ago when this system was installed - it's like when everyone was lucky to have 1 phone per household -- now it has more like 1 in every room -- electrical devices and usage has increased tremendously
• water and sewer system services were also set up back at the same time as the electrical system and i'm sure neither are adequate for today's standards or even in compliance with the multitude of government regulations that govern these two services...low water pressure is evident every weekend in the summer so that means the system is inadequate -- what is questionable---- is it due to system shortfalls or mechanical problems--
• yes i think the township is more than aware of the problems in la and you're right --they don't want to allow expansion of services in la unless they're confident that these systems will support the expansion la is requesting -- the bod and management must have a more comprehensive and professional approach when they submit their case or they'll get no where with the dingman boys
• bod must consider that they need professional help with this task -- until they take this path i think they're chances are slim to none for success
• no i would not be interested in any position within la-- i think the current bod and management should be given a chance to work these things through-- with the application of some management principles and disciplines they could accomplish things -- let's hope for the sake of the la community.............

• new meeting on thursday 4 october at 7:oopm at the dingman township municipal building on fisher lane, milford

• the zoning statures that excludes 12 wide trailers is outdated and needs to be changed to allow these new trailers that are more the norm today -- it's important to this asso. to be able to have new stock added to the community and therefore begin to replace the stock that is getting rather old and obsolete-- it will increase the value of every ones investment here in la -- so if you can attend that would be helpful to all the asso
• the last meeting was well represented by la asso. members so let's hope it will be the same for this upcoming meeting

the la top attraction has got 2 be the awesome trees -- the sun shining thru is just amazing-- the solitude, quietness and the shear abundance of so many views is one of the biggest asset of la--soon they will change colors and be more beautiful -- they are worth the trip to la----sorry my camera doesn't do them justice --

excellent contractor -- he jus did a fairly large job 4 me-- moved an old door and reinstalled it in a brick wall - built a new concrete porch and roof-- really fine workmanship

well northisland last season i didn't leave until January -- i hold out as long as possible -- goin 2 try it this year and with global warming i may be here till February - yeah and soon la will be ocean front property -- it really wasn't bad last fall and early winter -- if it wasn't 4 the water pipes freezing i would have stayed all winter or at least as long as there was no sno -- great place and i personally enjoy this place despite some of the more glaring problems that are evident

i hope that the bod and management will look at some of the problems i have highlighted since these problems are in abundance thru out la and should be addressed now before they negatively effect la == la slums -- many asso members and i mean many keep their properties in good to excellent shape and they should be commended -- it's unfair that others are allowed to let their properties deteriorate and negatively affect these good property owners -- i intend to continue to point out problems in the future and can only hope the bod and management will devise a method to address these deficiencies-- it benefits all when evey1 at la maintains their property and makes la an inviting, clean and safe community -- then every1 can be proud to be a la member --

latin dance

well it was a real nice crowd 4 the latin dance on saturday evening -- lots of families were in attendance and every1 seemed to be enjoying themselves --- there should be more events like this -- there are plenty of weekends thruout the summer and theme dances could be held -- oldies - 60's - 70's even the 80's -- country -- square dancing -- special teen dances --the more forms of entertainment the better -- good job on the last two dance weekends -- thanks 2 all---

no not them -- the market type -- they gather in the parking lot and in the pavilion -- they spread out the goods as if they were setting the thanksgiving table, then the crowds came and looked, looked, looked----some even bought things-- then they packed up their wares and went on their way to where ever that is -- maybe the shed, garage, basement the wares were stored until the next flea market----and yes some wares may have ended up in the trash dumpster=!!!!!!!!!!! well that would have described me at the one and only time i set up a stand for fleaing-- but no fear the la fleaers stuck it out and actually sold some things -- i even found and would have bought some cds but they didn't have my favorite punk, rap, or classical music selections --- maybe next year-- good time for all fleaers were had!!!!

well let me set the picture---- as a got out of my vehicle i heard the strains of johnny mathis's chances are -- all i could think of was i was being transported back to the 50's -- real good night this was going to be -- i left the simpsons for this?????????? well that was followed by 2 dion songs -- moving up -- then a line dance -- okay -- then another country tune -- not bad and then the kids had a musical chairs game without chairs -- a ball instead -- they enjoyed it --well after that there were a few fast dance numbers from the movies -- footloose and then the jennifer beal's song -- you know--well it was finally beginning to move on -- beat was upward and it wasn't 2 bad -- considering there wasn't any booze it was gettin good -- throw in a few i didn't recognize -- rap or something it was fine-- the kids had a blast and it was nice to see parents dancing with the young ones, teens and believe it or not a few parents dancing with each other -- it wound up for me after a few oldies nuggets and my final song being patsy cline's crazy -- enuf said -- good job

• found that there is a small store at the club house -- great little service -- been here a year and never knew it was there -- small listing in weekly flyer might help to get out the word on this little convenience -- saves time and gas from having to go to l. valley stores

place is a shambles -- good complaint -- weeds everywhere, rusting trailers on lots, tarps on trailers, and on and on --- people behind and not paying their dues -- well it's all connected -- if they are required to clean and maintain their property they are more likely to pay dues since they get the idea that they will be pursued if they get behind on these smaller responsibilities-- enforcement of these housekeeping rules might actually lead to more timely payment of dues-- it's jus like kids or dogs -- the more they do and get away with== the more they escalate their misbehavior -- soon you have no control and your wondering why this could happen?????????

la has a full time manager -- what is the responsibilities of this position -- is there a job description for this position -- from the looks of things it must be quite brief -- all of the above mentioned problems and the scheduling of the roof job resulting in the closing of the club house during the busy aug season, sloppy clean up after the job, and the list could go on and on -- but bottom line is these are the management responsibilities -- the bod needs to look at these problems== email thoughts to : LACHIPPER@GMAIL.COM

bod meeting rants

another rant -- complaint regarding mini golf had some merits -- it is a mini golf coarse that was built around 1960 and hasn't been touched or updated since then --it is in the broiling sun and has about much appeal as a pike county rock -- this thing should be either updated or free -- it's not worth $2.50 per play ==

also another point is that there are few things that attractive to kids or teens at la -- the 1960 pool concept jus doesn't do it -- jus about every1 has a pool in their back yard -- and why come here?? the activities here at la should reflect what people do today -- try mountain biking, rock climbing, skateboading, 4 wheelin, bike racing and other activities that have broader appeal -- yes i know that this sends shivers up the spines of the few old goats that complain about everything -- well that's 2 bad -- if la doesn't become relevant to families it will be become irrelevant for all but a few -- who in most cases do nothing to make la attractive and place of destination for every1 -- WHAT DO YOU THINK ABOUT THAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
